Services for James Albert Till, of Brookhaven, formerly ofMonroe, La., are 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the chapel of MulhearnFuneral Home in Monroe with burial in Crowville Masonic Cemetery inCrowville, La. The Rev. Danny McIlveene will officiate.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Till, 86, died June 22, 2007. He was born in Delhi, La., onFeb. 2, 1921, to John and Mary Till.

He was a retired carpenter. He was a proud veteran of the UnitedStates Army and served during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, DeloisLowry and Shirley Houghton; three sisters, and eight brothers.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Judy Free Till; his sons,Mickle Dewane Till and wife Betty, of Monroe, and James Newell Tilland friend Rebecca, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Gloria TillDupree and husband Wayne, of Marrero, La., and Brenda Till Sholarand husband Jimmy, of Terrytown, La.; his brother, Jack Till andwife Rose, of Delhi, La.; his sisters, Alice Arnold of Winnsboro,La., Stella Buckles, of Ferriday, La., and Florice Free. of Monroe;his 13 grandchildren, Donnie Whittington, Tammy Stansbury, CindyBaer, Eddy Houghton, Stoney Houghton, Mikie Till, Rusty Till, JerryWayne Till, Terra Osborn, Cody Till, Cheyenne Till, Kyla Sholar andTravis Sholar; 19 great grandchildren, threegreat-great-grandchildren; two special friends, David and GaryBreland; and Smokie, his special friend. Many thanks to hiscaregiver, Brady.

Pallbearers are Randy Adams, Jimmy Baer, Kenny Boudreaux, StoneyHoughton, Eddie Houghton, Travis Sholar, David Stansbury and DonnieWhittington.
