Nannie Bell Allred
Services for Nannie Bell Allred, of Brookhaven, are 2:30 p.m.Tuesday, June 26, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Allred, 87, died June 24, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on June 15, 1920, to Bud Wilkinson and LillyDillon Wilkinson.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Gilead PrimitiveBaptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John HenryAllred; her son, Malcom Allred; her grandson, Justin Coleman; andtwo brothers and one sister.
Survivors are her sons and their wives, Elwood and Betty Allred,of Whitehall, Md., Purvis and Nevelyn Allred, of Smithdale, PhillipAllred, of Brookhaven, and Ronny and Kay Allred, of Brookhaven; herdaughters and their husbands, Dorothy and Shelby Smith, ofBrookhaven, Dale and James Coleman, of Ruth; her brothers, FloydWilkinson, of Smithdale, and Emmit Johnston, of McComb; her sister,Mildred Sasser, of the Arlington community; her 16 grandchildren,23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Services for Roland L. Thornton Sr., of Brookhaven, are 4 p.m.Tuesday, June 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park in Brookhaven.
Visitation was Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mr. Thornton, 75, died June 24, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn in Franklin County on Jan. 12, 1932, to Henry Thornton andFloya Matthews Thornton.
He was a carpenter. He was a member of Pleasant Grove BaptistChurch.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, NellThornton Nettles; and twin sons.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Audrey Allen Thornton, ofBrookhaven; his sons, Roland Thornton Jr., of Smithdale, and HenryE. Thornton and wife Carolyn, of Crystal Springs; his daughter,Tywana Thornton Foster and husband Thomas, of Brookhaven; hisbrother, J.R. Thornton and wife Myrtle, of Summit; and his sister,Celas Wallace, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Micheal Thornton,Andrea Grammer, Justin Smith, Joey Smith, Sabrina Foster, JoeySmall and Julie Grant; and his great-grandchildren, Mitchell andAbigail Thornton, Stephanie and Bradley Grammer, Johnny Bass,Darrell Grant, Emily Small, Victoria Smith and Karlynn Smith.
