Emily Catherine Smith DiLisio

Services for Emily Catherine Smith DiLisio, of Hattiesburg, are10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at St. Francis of Assisi CatholicChurch in Brookhaven with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park inBrookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,with a Rosary service at 7 p.m.

Ms. DiLisio, 35, died June 23, 2007, in Hattiesburg. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Nov. 23, 1971, to Philip E. Smith Sr. andPhyllis Bonfiglio Hobbs.

In 1989 she graduated from Brookhaven High School and was namedthe Brookhaven Lions Club Water Carnival Queen. She attendedCopiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of SouthernMississippi. She was a 1991 graduate of Pensacola Junior College,with an associate degree in computer networking. She served in theUnited States Navy. She was a member of Sacred Heart CatholicChurch in Hattiesburg.

Survivors are her father and stepmother, Philip E. Smith Sr. andMinda Smith, of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; her mother andstepfather, Phyllis Hobbs and Russell Hobbs, of Hattiesburg; herson, Noah Steven DiLisio, of Hattiesburg; her daughter, AshleighFaith DiLisio, of Hattiesburg; her brothers, Philip E. Smith Jr.and wife Michelle Smith, of Brookhaven, and Sean Philip Smith andTomas Herman Smith, both of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and hersister, Jennifer Leigh Davis Heffner and husband Mike Heffner, ofReston, Va.

Alma Christine Edwards

Graveside services for Alma Christine Edwards, of Biloxi, are atnoon on Friday, June 29, at the Edwards Cemetery north of Wesson.Riemann Funeral Home in Biloxi will officiate.

Friends may visit at the cemetery after 11:30 a.m. on the day ofthe service.

Miss Edwards, 96, died June 25, 2007, in Biloxi. She was anative of Wesson, a longtime resident of Brookhaven, and a residentof Biloxi for the past 10 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church inBrookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Archie Baker Edwardsand Lessie Magee Edwards; her brothers, Robert W. Edwards, DudleyT. Edwards and Charles W. Edwards; and her sisters, Margie V.Edwards, and Mary E. Burrow.

Survivors are her sister, Betty Patterson and husband Charles,of Arlington, Va.; her four nieces; two nephews; great-nephews;great-nieces; and a devoted cousin, Lena Case.
