Services for Florene B. Thames, of Jayess, are 2 p.m. Tuesday,July 3, at New Bethel Jesus Name Church in Jayess with burial inProvidence Cemetery in Jayess. Hartman Funeral Home in McComb is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 10 p.m. at the church, and onTuesday from 10 a.m. until the service time.

Mrs. Thames, 73, died June 30, 2007, at Regency HospitalCovington in Covington, La. She was born on Nov. 24, 1933, inLawrence County to John T. Boutwell and Sally I. Sumrall.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Jesus Name Churchof Jayess,

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JohnieVondell Thames; and her brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her sons, Johnny B. Thames and Travis Thames, bothof Jayess; her daughter, Sandra A. Braswell, Jayess; her brothers,Bobby Boutwell, of Monticello, Charlie Boutwell, of Bassfield, andJohnny D. Boutwell, of Monticello; her sister; Mattie Bell Delancy,of Poplarville; her eight grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces nephews and friends.
