Services for Charles E. Dunn Jr., of Brookhaven, were 3 p.m.Saturday, July 7, at Brookhaven Funeral Home’s North Jackson Streetlocation with burial in the Mallalieu United Methodist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation was Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Dunn, 82, died July 5, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on June 27, 1925, to CharlesDunn Sr. and Lorena Wallace Dunn.

He was a retired oil field driller with Murco Drilling. He was amember of Fair River Masonic Lodge No. 203 and a member ofMallalieu United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of WorldWar II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, WallaceDunn; his sister, Lottie Freeman; and his infant daughter, JoAnnDunn.

Survivors are his wife of 58 and a half years, Sarah Dunn, ofBrookhaven; his son, Ronald Dunn and wife Charlene, of Brookhaven;his daughters, Joyce Southerland and husband Dale, of Tulsa, Okla.,and Frances Terrelle Hedge and husband Lee, of Brookhaven; hisbrothers, Jerald Dunn and wife Jean, and John Dunn and wife Pat,all of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Jessie and Don Warren, ReneeRichardson, Davy Dunn, and Kevin Southerland; and fivegreat-grandchildren.
