Motorcycle rider dies in Sunday accident

A Lincoln County resident was killed Sunday after his motorcyclecollided with a sport utility vehicle on Highway 84 in front of theChevron at the Auburn Road intersection, authorities said.
Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris said 56-year-old DannyClark, originally of Natchez, died of internal injuries caused bythe accident, which occurred at 1:05 p.m.
Clark’s 2003 Suzuki collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazerdriven by Rachel Tillman, 20, of Natchez, said Mississippi HighwayPatrol Public Affairs Officer Sgt. Rusty Boyd.
“It appears as though he came out of the gas station in front ofTillman’s vehicle,” he said. “I know they went to see if they couldget anything off the security tape, but I don’t know yet whatthey’ve found.”
Officials are reviewing the security tape from the Chevron tohelp reconstruct the accident.
Officers on the scene said Tillman’s two passengers, MichaelSpiotta, 24, of Memphis, and Brandon Wilkins, 28, of Southaven,were not injured, but that Tillman was taken to King’s DaughtersMedical Center where she was treated and released.
McMorris said funeral arrangements have not yet been made forClark, but that an autopsy will be done at the state Crime Lab inJackson.
