Services for Dorothy Irene Boyd, of Monticello, were 5 p.m.Saturday, Aug. 4, at Powell’s Grove Pentecostal Church in Jayesswith burial in the church cemetery. Community Family FuneralServices was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Boyd, 73, died Aug. 2, 2007, at Lawrence County NursingHome. She was born on April 5, 1934, to Toxie Hedgepeth and ZelmaDunn Hedgepeth.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers.

Survivors are her husband, Freddie J. Boyd, of Jayess; her sons,Roger Boyd, of Jayess; her daughter, Linda Hedgepeth, of Jayess;her brothers, James Hedgepeth and Carl Hedgepeth; and her sisters,Nellie Turner, Johnnie Ruth Nations and Geneva Nations; sevengrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
