Robert ‘Dewey’ Boling

Services for Robert “Dewey” Boling, of the New Sight community,are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on NorthJackson Street with burial in the New Sight Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Boling, 81, died Aug. 4, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on May 27, 1926, to Louis Bolingand Fannie Edna Furlow Boling.

He worked with Dickerson and Bowen for 38 years in roadconstruction and served in the United States Army during World WarII. He was a lifetime resident of New Sight and a member of NewSight Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Euna BerniceBoling; his brothers, James Audrey Boling and L.C. Boling; and asister, Ruby Mae Boling.

Survivors are his sons, Sherrell Boling, of Brookhaven, DeanBoling and his wife Nancy, of Texas, and Bruce Boling and his wifeDot, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Angela Callender, Pam Boling,Tywana Hart and LaKisha Garay and husband Heath, all of Brookhaven;his brother, Billy Ray Boling, of Pascagoula; his sister, AlyneWilkinson, of Brookhaven; nine grandchildren; and fourgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Harley Hart, Specialist Robert “Jake”Mohon, Jerry Bruce Boling Jr., Heath Edward Garay, Ricky E. Smithand Trey Bales.
