Geneva ‘Jenny’ Gonnellini Geoghegan

Services for Geneva “Jenny” Gonnellini Geoghegan, of Natchez,are 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Assumption Catholic Church withburial in the Natchez City Cemetery. Officiating the service willbe Father David O’Connor. Laird Funeral Home in Natchez is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mrs. Geoghegan, 88, died Aug. 10, 2007, at Natchez RegionalMedical Center. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 29, 1918, toEugene W. Smith and Letha Ann White Smith.

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Robert “Boobie”Gonnellini and William M. “Bill” Geoghegan Sr.; and her daughter,Margaret “Peggy” Clarke.

Survivors are her children, W. M. “Billy” Geoghegan Jr. and wifeLinda, of Lake St. John, La., Tommy Geoghegan, of Natchez, and MaryJo Calcote and husband Mark, of Smithdale; her grandchildren, W.Martin Geoghegan III, Patrick T. Geoghegan, Christopher C.Geoghegan, Geoghegan Clark, Shane Geoghegan, Steven T. Melton, andJohn Allen Melton; four great-grandchildren; her niece, MargaretWilson, of Natchez; her nephew, Louis Spencer Jr., of Natchez; anda special god child, Gloria Gonnellini.

Pallbearers will be Martin Geoghegan, Patrick Geoghegan,Christopher Geoghegan, Justin Geoghegan, Brent Geoghegan, GeogheganClarke, Steven Melton, and John Allen Melton.

Memorials may be made to the Assumption Catholic Church.
