Charlie Jefferson Cupstid

Services for Charlie Jefferson Cupstid, of Crystal Springs, are10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at Stringer Family Funeral Chapel inCrystal Springs with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Cupstid, 70, died Aug. 13, 2007, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County where hewas a partner of C. and D. Electric Co. He was a member of HopewellBaptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Anderson Cupstid; his sons, BurtDarling, of Jackson, and Ricky Darling, of Crystal Springs; hisdaughters, Vickie Shannon, of Brandon, Darlene Sykes, of Wesson,Yvonne Segrave, of Waveland, and Renee Cupstid of Pearl; hisbrothers, Duey Cupstid and Huey Cupstid, both of Crystal Springs;his 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services for Jessie Marvin Lafferty, of Port Gibson, are 10 a.m.Thursday, Aug. 16, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Bude withburial in Foxworth Cemetery on Highway 586.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Lafferty, 43, died Aug. 11, 2007, in Bogalusa, La. He wasborn in Columbia, La., on Sept. 15, 1963, to James Marvin Laffertyand Martha Carolyn Curtis.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Wilmerand Janita Curtis; and his father, Rex E. Lambert Sr.

Survivors are his mother; his wife, Julie Havard Lafferty; hisdaughter, Jody Lynn Lafferty; his sons, Jessie Marvin Lafferty,Jacob Gilbert Lafferty and Justin Lee Lafferty; his sister, VickySeyfarth; his brothers, Will Lambert, Drew Lambert, Gordon RayLambert, Rex E. Lambert Jr. and Arthur Ball; his grandson; and ahost of other relatives and friends.
