Services for Robert “Longhead” Allen Sr., of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Old St. John Missionary Baptist Churchin Wesson with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Allen, 63, died Aug. 22, 2007, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Brookhaven on July 23,1944, to Marvin Allen and Lena Allen.

He was disabled. He was a member of Old St. John M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, ClarenceAllen, James Allen, Thomas Allen and Ross “Dick” Allen; his halfbrother, Paul Stewart; and his devoted friend, Ora Lee Brown.

Survivors are his son, Robert Allen Jr., of New Orleans, La.;his daughters, Robin Allen, of Brookhaven, and Ora Allen, of LoydStar; his stepdaughter, Patricia Dillion, of New Orleans; hisstepsons, Kim Toliver and wife Marie, of New Orleans, and CharlesToliver and wife Linda, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his sisters, HelenLomax and husband Emmitt, and Bertha Allen, all of Brookhaven, andPrecious Allen and Mary Allen, both of Wesson; his brothers,Charles Allen and wife Shirley, of Springfield, Mass., and SamuelAllen and wife Mary Ann, of Brookhaven; his eight grandchildren;his three great-grandchildren; his 13 stepgrandchildren; his ninegreat-stepgrandchildren; his three aunts and five uncles; and ahost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
