Mary Young Stokes, 84, beloved wife of the late George H.Stokes, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at her residencein Gretna, La.

She born on June 22, 1923 in Battle Creek, Mich. Her parents wereLeonard T. Young and Iris Glas Young.

Survived by her only son Terry C. Stokes Sr. and wife Mary; sisterSue Young; grandchildren Theresa Becnel and her daughter Lauren,Julie Stokes-Soniat du Fossat and husband Jean-Claude, Terry C.Stokes Jr. and wife Heidi and their daughter Hannah.

Services will be held at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb on Friday,Sept. 7. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeralservices beginning at 1 p.m. in the Hartman Funeral Home Chapel,burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit.
