Services for Howard Carroll Nettles, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, at Brookhaven Funeral Home onNatchez Drive. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. atResthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge, La.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service at thefuneral home.
Mr. Nettles, 55, died Sept. 10, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on March 27, 1952, to Howard Nettles and AliceCase Nettles.
He was a boilermaker. He attended Louisiana State University andwas an avid LSU fan. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
His father preceded him in death.
Survivors are his mother, Alice C. Nettles, of Brookhaven; hisson, Sawyer Zane Rogers, of Brookhaven; his daughter, MickieNettles Stubbs, of Baton Rouge; his grandson, Tyler Nettles, ofBaton Rouge; his granddaughter, Olivia Stubbs, of Baton Rouge; hissisters, Linda S. Brigalia and Cindy N. O’Neal, both of DenhamSprings, La.; his special friend, Angie Rogers, of Brookhaven; andnumerous nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles, family andfriends.
