Services for Luella Smith, of Brookhaven, are 4:30 p.m.Saturday, Sept. 22 at St. James M.B. Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 8 p.m. with family hour from 7until 8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Ms. Smith, 92, died Sept. 19, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on July 4, 1915, to Oscar Smith and EllaSmith.

She was retired. She was a member of St. James M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, KayFrances Chatmon; and three sisters, Severa Smith, Lina Driggs andSarah Phillips; and a brother, Leander Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Bert Pringle and his wife, Queenie, ofSpringfield, Mass., Charles Edward Smith and his wife, Mary, ofBrookhaven, and Frank Kenneth Smith, of Brookhaven; her daughter,Sarah Smith, of Brookhaven; her sister, Shirley Wilson and herhusband, Fred, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Willie Smith, ofWesson, and his wife Gladean Smith; eight grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
