It’s a battle of Cougar football teams Friday night whenBrookhaven Academy celebrates homecoming against Simpson County inan important District 4-AA matchup. The game begins at 7 p.m.

In area academy action, Copiah travels to Wayne Academy andParklane entertains defending AAA state champ Jackson Prep.

Brookhaven is 2-0 in the district and 2-3 on the season. Simpsonis also 2-3 overall and 1-0 in district play.

Brookhaven, coached by Bo Milton, fell to Central Private 12-6in overtime at Baker, La., last week. Simpson (2-3, 1-0) washammered 42-28 by Indianola Academy.

“Simpson County has a good football team,” said Milton. “Theylost some close ones early in the season.”
