Clara Frances Ballew

Services for Clara Frances Ballew, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, Sept. 28, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag with burial inthe church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Ballew, 85, died Sept. 26, 2007, at Beverly Health CareCenter. She was born on Dec. 10, 1921, to James Luther Ballew andCatherine R. Fore Ballew.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Shiloh BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers,Lawrence, Earl, Willey, Shelby and Sanford Ballew; four sisters,Sleeta Giorano, Mary Robbins Lewis, Catherine Robbins and MattieFoster.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Curtis Eugene Thompson

Services for Curtis Eugene Thompson, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m.,Saturday, Sept. 29, at Willie Mae Tyler Memorial Chapel with burialin Carver Heights Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Thompson, 54, was born on Oct. 25, 1952, to Robert ThompsonSr. and Annie Mae “Prudence” Bartley Thompson.

He was an automotive technician. He was a member ofKynett-Pilgrim United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, RosemaryThompson Guice and Barbara Ann Thompson; his brothers, RobertThompson Jr. and Vincent Edwin Thompson.

Survivors are his brothers, Harold Ray Thompson, of Brookhaven,and John Wesley Thompson, of Silver Creek; his sister, DianneThompson-Hooker, of Jackson; and four nephews, Tedric Thompson,Leroy Guice, Cedric Thompson and Starskey Thompson.
