Lady ‘Cats rally past Ole Brook

Capitalizing on four Brookhaven errors, the Bogue Chitto Lady’Cats rallied for six, seventh-inning runs and beat the host LadyPanthers 7-4 Monday night in slowpitch softball action. BogueChitto was trailing 2-1 entering the seventh.

“I’m extremely proud of my girls,” said BC boss Scott Leggett.”They showed that there still is fight in the ‘Cat. They reallyneeded this win. It was a great defensive effort, too.”

Leggett’s girls (12-2, 4-1) play a Division 7-1A game today atVicksburg St. Aloysius, making up an earlier rainout.

At the plate, BC finished with 13 hits. The ‘Cats were led byKelli Howard and Caitlin Owen who both tripled and singled.Collecting 2 hits were Morgan Roberts, Jessie Miller, and JosiePorter. Blaine Myers, Shaquille Burton and Darcey Miller also hitsafely.

Myers (0 Ks, 1 BB) pitched the win. Casey Risher (1 K, 1BB)absorbed the loss.
