N. Pike girls win division

SUMMIT — The North Pike Lady Jaguars crushed the Columbia LadyWildcats 14-7 in division slowpitch softball action. The Jags,coached by Sonya Wallace, won their division and will host thefirst round of the state playoffs beginning Tuesday, October 9.

The Jags outhit the Wildcats 21-12 at the plate. North Pikecommited 3 errors to Columbia’s 1.

North Pike improved to 12-9 on the season and 7-1 in thedivision.

Maggie Dunaway smashed a home run, a double and 2 singles forthe Jags. Kayla Stockton tripled and singled. Kelsey Lord doubledand singled. Chamiessa Gordon doubled and singled twice. MarissaJenkins hit safely.

Ripping 2 home runs was Columbia’s Libby Aikens. Nettie Lewisdoubled and singled.
