Rosie Ann Gill

Graveside services for Rosie Ann Gill, of Brookhaven, were 3p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Hepzibah Cemetery in Silver Creek.Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gill, 64, died Sept. 28, 2007, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born in New Orleans, La., on Sept. 23, 1943, toEnoch Bangs and Rosie Lee Scott Bangs.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hepzibah BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Billy RexGill; her son, Billy Rex Gill Jr.; four brothers; and threesisters.

Survivors are her brothers, Floyd Bangs, of Metairie, La., andDaniel Bangs, of Waveland; and her sisters, Alice Smith and LytanWells, both of Kenner, La.

Robert L. ‘Bob’ Rollins Jr.

Services for Dr. Robert L. “Bob” Rollins Jr., DVM, a native ofMississippi and a resident of Franklinton, La., are 2 p.m. Sunday,Sept. 30, at the Crain Funeral Home chapel in Franklinton withburial in the Moak Family Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. The Rev. TonyHicks will officiate. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is incharge of local arrangements.

Visitation is after 12:30 p.m. on Sunday until the time of theservice at the funeral home.

Dr. Rollins, 77, died Sept. 26, 2007, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center from complications of an ATV accident inAugust.

He practiced veterinary medicine for nearly 50 years. Heattended Southwest Mississippi Junior College and later graduatedfrom the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in1958.

Dr. Rollins was a member and past president of the LouisianaVeterinary Medical Association and was also a member of theMississippi Veterinary Medical Association. He served on the Boardof Directors for the Louisiana State University School ofVeterinary Medicine for 15 years.

He operated Franklinton Animal Clinic for many years. He was alongtime member of the Franklinton Country Club where he served asboard member and board president. He was a member and deacon ofClifton Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Franklinton MasonicLodge No. 101 and Jerusalem Temple Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Rollins Sr.and Rubye Brister Rollins; his brother, Elmo A. Rollins; and agrandson, Robert Felder Stafford.

Survivors are his wife, Marion Norman Rollins, of Bogue Chitto;his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bill Burch, of Baton Rogue,La.; his grandchildren, Steven Rollins Stafford, Katherine WhitneyBurch and William Matthew Burch, all of Jackson; several nieces andnephews, including Avery Rollins, of Madison, and Kelly Lammons, ofClinton; and a brother-in-law, H. Parham Norman, of Carter’sCreek.
