WESSON — The St. Andrew’s Saints proved to be real spoilers forthe Wesson Cobras’ 2007 homecoming Friday night.

The Saints dominated Wesson offensively and defensively on theirway to a 31-7 Region 6-2A win. ending the Cobras’ 5-0 winningstreak.

“Coach (David) Bradberry (St. Andrew’s) did a good job gettingthem ready,” said Wesson head football coach Tommy Clopton afterthe loss. “We didn’t match their effort. We got whipped on bothlines of scrimmage. When that happens, we’re in for a longnight.

Wesson fell to 5-1 on the season and 2-1 in region play. St.Andrew’s improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in region action.
