Services for Lucille H. Conerly, of Brookhaven, will be held at11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in PikeCounty with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Suddeth willofficiate. Hartman Funeral Home in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.
Mrs. Conerly, 88, died Oct. 17, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter in Brookhaven. She was born on Oct. 27, 1918, to Henry andLucy Hinson.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and also FirstBaptist Church, of McComb. She loved her children and grandchildrenas well as her flowers, delighting in yard work. She was a veryhappy lady who enjoyed the Red Hat Society.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, FrankDavid Conerly; her sons, Stanley Conerly and Glen Conerly; twograndsons, Mark Conerly and Scott Conerly; seven brothers and twosisters.
Survivors are her brother, Doy Hinson, of Natchez; her sister,Ina May, of Natchez; her sons, Mitchell E. Conerly and wife Louise,of Bessemer, Ala., Clifton D. Conerly and wife Elizabeth, of Amite,La., Dr. Steve Conerly and wife Betty Lou, of Raleigh, N.C., andGerald A. Conerly, of McComb; her daughters, Norma Jean Lea andhusband Carey, of Wesson, and Dimple Bond and husband, the Rev.Donnie Bond, of Shawnee, Okla.; numerous grandchildren,great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with twospecial family members, Maggie Ratcliff, of Brookhaven, and BertieJo Jones of Kentwood, La.
Pallbearers are Warren Agnor, Allen Kent, Michael Bond, ChadWeldon, Mike Hemphill and Colby Kent.
Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Conerly and Anthony Conerly.
