Services for Edith Argussie Buckley Brown, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, at Alexander Junior High School Auditoriumwith burial in Dennis Griffith Cemetery in Prentiss.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family time from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’sWitnesses in Brookhaven.

Mrs. Brown, 69, died Oct. 14, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Prentiss on Aug. 4, 1938, to HezekiahBuckley and Swrintha Buckley.

She was a graduate of Prentiss High School and Jackson StateUniversity. She was a retired teacher and member of Kingdom Hall ofJehovah’s Witnesses.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and a sister, CarolineAnderson.

Survivors are her husband, Leotha Brown Sr., of Brookhaven; hersons, Rickey L. Brown, of Richmond, Va., Leotha Brown II, ofBrookhaven, Alvin Brown of Killeen, Texas, Calvin Brown, ofRichmond, Va., Donald Holden, of Tylertown, and Edward Brothern, ofDetroit, Mich.; her daughters, Cassandra Brown, of Jackson, andPeggy Charles, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Robert E. Buckley, ofSalisbury, Md., McDonald Buckley, of Palestine, Texas; her sister,Fannie Taylor, of Olympia Fields, Ill.; her goddaughter, ShenikaMcGee, of Brookhaven; 15 grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
