John W. ‘Billy’ McDaniel

Services for John W. “Billy” McDaniel, of the Mt. Canaancommunity near Tylertown, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct.25, at Craft Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with burial in Rose HillCemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the funeral home.

Mr. McDaniel, 78, formerly of Brookhaven, died Oct. 18, 2007, atSouthwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He wasborn in Brookhaven on Feb. 28, 1934, to Fred McDaniel and EthelByrd McDaniel.

He was a shoesmith. He was a member of Mt. Canaan BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Claudette McDaniel, of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Claudette McDaniel, of Brookhaven; his sons, BennieMcDaniel and wife Mae, and Ronnie Robinson, all of Brookhaven, andCarzell Smith, of Tylertown; his sisters, Mary McDaniel and FeliciaMcDaniel, both of Brookhaven, Alfreda Patton and Barbara Allen,both of McComb, and Cora Whittington, of Moss Point; his brothers,Will McDaniel, of Shelby, Eugene McDaniel, of Pascagoula, LouisMcDaniel, of Brookhaven, Leon McDaniel, of Louisiana, ChauncyMcDaniel and Bennie McDaniel, both of Paducah, Ky., James McDanieland Fred McDaniel, both of Michigan, Carl Carter, of Paducah; hisdaughter-in-law, Margaret McDaniel, of Brookhaven; and his eightgrandchildren.
