Services for M. Lynwood Smith, of Wesson, will be held at 2 p.m.on Friday, Oct. 26, at New Salem Church of Christ in Brookhavenwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 2 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeralhome on North Jackson Street.

Bro. Smith, 83, died Oct. 24, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on March 27, 1924, to RanceSmith and Lillian Smith.

He was a retired Church of Christ evangelist, which allowed himto travel the United States and the world. Bro. Smith was theauthor of several books and had written numerous gospel hymns thathad been recorded. He was a member of New Salem Church ofChrist.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are numerous cousins, nephews and nieces who loved himdearly.
