Theodore ‘Ted’ Smith Jr.

Services for Theodore “Ted” Smith Jr., of Orange, Texas, will beheld at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapelin Orange.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 80, died Oct. 28, 2007, at Baptist Memorial HermannHospital in Orange. He was born on Dec. 21, 1926, in Brookhaven, toTheodore Smith Sr. and Ruby Case Smith.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served duringWorld War II. He was a member of North Orange Baptist Church forover 50 years; a member of Lions Club; administrator for LocalLittle League Baseball and active as a local supporter. He will beremembered as a loving and caring husband, father andgrandfather.

Survivors are his wife, Daisy McGrew Smith; his son GregorySmith, of Nacogdoches, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa andMarcus Sherman, of Conroe, Texas; his grandchildren, Evan Smith,Blayne Smith, Charis Smith, Martha Sherman and Zachary Sherman; andhis brother, Ralph Smith and wife Doris, of Brookhaven.
