Harold Luther Nations, 67, beloved husband, father andgrandfather, went home to his Lord and Savior on Nov. 1, 2007.Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at 10 a.m. at FairRiver Baptist Church in Brookhaven. The burial service will followimmediately thereafter in the church’s cemetery. Visitation will befrom 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive in Brookhaven. Additional visitation will beheld for one hour preceding the service on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007,at Fair River Baptist Church.

Harold was born July 2, 1940, in Brookhaven to John SheldonNations and Aileen Fugler Nations. He graduated from BrookhavenHigh School in 1958 and earned Bachelor of Science degrees inArchitectural Drafting and Math at the University of SouthernMississippi in 1962. He went into business with his dad as abuilder of houses and churches for three years before embarking onhis lifelong vocation in the petroleum industry. Throughout hiscareer, he worked for Odeco and Zapata, which took him and hisfamily to many foreign countries before he returned home to starthis own business. During the rest of his career, he founded andoperated several businesses. He was president and co-owner of TotalOilfield Professional Services (T.O.P.S.), president and owner ofSlik-Dril Operating Co., and president and owner of Slik-DrilP&A. He also served as secretary of Imagi-nations “The WeddingPlace.” He served on the board of directors for Brookhaven Academy,where all of his children attended and graduated. He was a memberof Fair River Baptist Church.

He was an avid fisherman and was always ready to take on anychallenge from his fishing buddies to see who could catch the mostand the biggest. He enjoyed meeting daily with the ROMEO Club(Retired Old Men Eating Out) and solving all the world’s problemsover a cup of coffee. Harold always had a helping hand for anyonewho needed one. His children and grandchildren were the true joy ofhis life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary WalkerNations, as well as his four children: Daryl Luther Nations andPeggy, of Midland, Texas; Dudley Scott Nations and his wifeStephenne, of Austin, Texas; Bobby Walker Nations and his wifeWendy, of Collierville, Tenn.; and Donna Nations Clayton and herhusband Matt, of Tupelo. In addition, he is survived by 10grandchildren: Sheldon and Sean Michael Nations, of Brookhaven;Daniel, Sarah and Adam Nations, of Austin; Eli and Betsy YeNations, of Collierville; and Carter, Walker and Anna Kees Clayton,of Tupelo. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry SheldonNations and wife Shirley, of Brookhaven; and Pamela HutchersonNations, of Brookhaven; as well as a host of nieces andnephews.

Pallbearers will be Joel Nations, Mike Richardson, TerryRichardson, Mitch Rayburn, Chad Smith and Willy Scarborough.

Honorary pallbearers are members of his men’s prayer group,Jimmy Harrington, John Dunn, Mickey Sandifer, Pete Damico, EdwardCessana and Greg Woodcock.
