Tina Price Phillips

Services for Tina Price Phillips, of the Moak’s Creek community,will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Jones FamilyFuneral Services in McComb with burial in Moak’s Creek Cemetery.The Rev. Mike Alexander will officiate.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1 p.m. until until the time of theservice at the funeral home.

Mrs. Phillips, 43, died Nov. 4, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn July 23, 1964, in McComb, to Bryl and Zenia Beth Price of theMoak’s Creek community.

She was a member of Bayou Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Darryl Phillips; and abrother, Robbie Blayne Price.

Survivors are her parents; her aunts, Peggy Causey, Bobbie Helmke,Mary Nell Moak, Billie Vieluf and Sandra Smith; her uncles, NormanTarter and Ronald Price; and her faithful dog, Rip.

Pallbearers are James Helmke, Carey Moak, Dale Price, DalePhillips, Bradley Bacot and George Gore.

Archie White Jr.

Services for Archie White Jr., of Brookhaven, will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Southway Baptist Church in Brookhavenwith burial in Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven. Brookhaven FuneralHome on North Jackson Street is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at at the funeral home,and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of theservice.

Mr. White, 81, died Nov. 4, 2007, at Countrybrook Living Center. Hewas born in Brookhaven on Jan. 10, 1926, to Archie Farley White andPalestine Lilly White.

He was a retired driver for the City of Brookhaven. He was a memberof Southway Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was a veteranof the United States Army and served during World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Bertie MaeClark, Glidie Johnson and Claudie Ruth Martin; and his brothers,Charlie White and Shelby White.

Survivors are his wife, Lavelle Lawrence White, of Brookhaven; hissons, Dennis Dale White and wife Linda, of Bogue Chitto, and RogerLynn White and wife Frances, of Hope Mills, N.C.; his 16grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert Burns Woods

Services for Robert Burns Woods, of Crystal Springs, will be heldat 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Stringer Family Funeral HomeChapel in Hazlehurst with burial in the Hazlehurst Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from noon until the time of theservice at the funeral home.

Mr. Woods, 78, died Nov. 4, 2007, surrounded by his family. He wasborn in Copiah County on June 27, 1929, to Clarence and JewelWoods.

He was a native of Copiah County and a member of First BaptistChurch of Crystal Springs. He was a retired painter. He was aveteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father,grandfather and friend to all who met him. He will be dearlymissed.

Survivors are his wife of 30 years, Lanell Y. Woods; his sons,Wayne Tillman and wife Emma Lee, of Crystal Springs, and RobertAnthony Woods; his daughter, Donna Carraway and husband Bruce, ofCrystal Springs; his grandchildren, Misti Smith and husband Alan,of Cumming, Ga., Bobby Skinner Jr. and wife Connie, of Georgetown,and Kimberly Darby and husband Matt, of Crystal Springs; hissisters, Christine Barlow, of Brookhaven, and Mary Wilson, ofMonticello; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
