A Franklin County man is dead following an on-the-job accidentat Franklin County Lumber Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Franklin County Coroner Percy Peeler said Danny Sullivan, 56,was killed in an accident with a forklift truck at the facilityaround 5 p.m. Monday.

“Without a whole lot of detail, there was an accident at the millwith a front end loader, or a forklift truck,” he said.

Peeler said the accident is still under investigation, and that theOccupational Safety and Health Administration had been on siteTuesday to conduct a probe.

“All we can say at this time is that we’ve still got aninvestigative aspect going on,” said Peeler. “It involved aforklift tractor and a bucket, and it was quite an unfortunateaccident. We just can’t say anything more.”

A call left at the lumber company was not returned.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Franklin FuneralHome.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home inMeadville, with visitation Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. The burial willbe at Cranfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
