Services for Thomas “Tom” Jordan, of Smithdale, are 10 a.m.Monday, Nov. 19, at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in FranklinCounty with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home,Natchez Drive location, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Jordan, 68, died Nov. 17, 2007, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Franklin Countyon Aug. 1, 1939, to Grady C. Jordan and Orbie Lewis Jordan.

He was a retired iron worker. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Phil, J.L. and Billy Jordan; and one sister, Bobbie Nell Nevels.

Survivors are his sons, Tim Jordan, of Cut Off, La., TommyJordan Jr. and Billy Wayne Jordan, both of Smithdale; hisdaughters, Belinda Benton, of Pensacola, Fla., and T. J. Jordan, ofSmithdale; his brother, Dennis Ray Jordan, of Smithdale; 12grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
