Services for Mayfred Smith Summers, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Gum Grove Baptist Church ofBrookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Summers, 74, died Nov. 20, 2007, at Lawrence CountyHospital in Monticello. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 27,1933, to Louis E. Smith and Mary Dell Case Smith.

She was a seamstress for Stahl-Urban and Kellwood Co. She was amember of Gum Grove Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Rhonda S.Vaussine; her sister, Faye Wallace; and a nephew, Lance Smith.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Christy Nelson and husbandTyson, Clancie Daley and husband Lance, and Kayla Rogers, all ofMonticello; her brothers, Edwin Smith and wife Elaine, and VirgilSmith and wife Frances, all of Bogue Chitto.
