Services for Katie Mae Funchess Hinton, of Monticello, are 1p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Monticello First Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Hinton, 77, died Nov. 26, 2007, at Saint Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Monticello on May 24, 1930, toO’Neal Mason and Susie Hardy.

She was retired and a member of Monticello First BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Charles Funchess and her second husband, James P. Hinton; herbrother, Major Evans; her sister, Mary Evans; her great-grandson,Bradford; and her daughter Maryam.

Survivors include her seven children, Robert (Luci),Charlestine, Dorothy, Charles, Ruth Ann (Freddie), Sharon (Howard)and Carolyn; her sister, Ruth “R.B.”; three stepchildren, WillieEarl, Joanne (Richard) and James (Pam); 25 grandchildren; 28great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
