Albert ‘A.C.’ Brown

Services for Albert “A.C.” Brown, of Sontag, will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church inSontag with burial in the church cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Brown, 48, died Nov. 29, 2007, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on July 12, 1959, toA.C. Brown Sr. and Lula Mae Roberson Brown.

He was disabled. He was a member of Pine Grove M.B. Church. Heserved his country in the United States Army for four years.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his daughter, Sade Brown, of Wesson; his brothers,Don E. Brown, of Sontag, Lawrence P. Brown, of Katy, Texas, andMichael Brown and Jeffery Brown, both of Sontag; and his sisters,Brenda Brown Hogan, of Jackson, and Phyllis Johnson, of Slidell,La.

Services for Jerry Keith Martin Sr., of McComb, will be held at11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, at Calvary Baptist Church in Pricedalewith burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ron West willofficiate. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the church and onThursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Martin, 66, died Dec. 3, 2007, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson, following a lengthy illness. He was bornin Magnolia on March 15, 1941, to George Frank Martin Sr. and JuliaBlair Martin.

He was owner of Circle M Formal Wear in McComb for 28 years. Hewas a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served in theMississippi National Guard and the United States Army Reserve. Hewas a member of Triumph Lodge No. 422 F&AM in Buras, La.;Wahabi Shriners Temple in Jackson; Scottish Rite of Freemasonry,S.J., U.S.A in Jackson; and was a former member of the Venice, La.,Lions Club.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, GeorgeMartin Jr. and Billy Martin; and his sisters, Frances Nicholas,Ruby Sherrill, Tootsie Howell and Dorothy Sledge.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dianne Alford Martin, ofMcComb; his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Bo Martin and Donna, ofOxford; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Greg Calhoun,of McComb, and Melanie and Clark Hale, of Round Rock, Texas; hisbrother, Vernon Martin, of McComb; his sister, Elsie Moak, ofSummit; and his eight grandchildren, Hillary Calhoun, Zac Calhoun,Kendall Calhoun, Kelsey Calhoun, Jordan Hale, Brooke Hale, CodyHale and Madisyn Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
