Bogue Chitto beats Enterprise

The Enterprise Yellow Jackets and the Bogue Chitto Bobcatskicked off the first two Thursday games of the Lincoln CountyRound-Robin Tournament at West Lincoln’s Jack Case Gymnasium

The Bogue Chitto boys, powered by Justin London’s game-high 26points, posted a 53-42 win in overtime over Enterprise.

In the girl’s game, the ‘Cats overcame a sluggish first quarterto take a 50-37 victory over the Jackets.

In today’s games, Enterprise faces Loyd Star at 4 p.m. in thegirls game and 5:30 in boys action. Host West Lincoln faces BogueChitto at 7 and 8:30 respectively.

Bogue Chitto 53, Enterprise 42 (OT)

At the end of regulation, the Bobcats and the Jackets weredeadlocked at 43-all. In OT, Brian Robinson netted all of his 6points and Seth Avants followed with 3 points to lead the 11-0run.

Enterprise, coached by Josh Bass, trailed Bogue Chitto 9-8 inthe first quarter and 24-18 at the half. The Bobcats and the Jacketwere tied 28-all going into the final frame.

Adding support in the Bobcat win with 9 points was Byron Kersee.Bogue Chitto is 1-3 on the season..

The 2-6 Jackets got 16 points from Jamie Smith followed byAustin Everett with 10 points. Josh Bass coaches Enterprise.

Bogue Chitto 50, Enterprise 37

The girls game was close in the first quarter with Coach JillNations’ Jackets hanging onto a 7-6 lead over Coach ChristiTerrell’s ‘Cats.

Second-quarter action saw Bogue Chitto take a 19-13 run for a25-20 lead at the half. A 12-8 run in the third quarter put the’Cat up by 9 points, 37-28, over the Jackets going into the finalframe. A 13-9 run by Bogue Chitto secured the win overEnterprise.

Directing the ‘Cats (3-3) with 12 points was Darcy Miller. JosiePorter and Savannah Norman followed with 10 points apiece.

The Jackets (4-4) were led by Tara Paden’s 9 points. Karla Huxfinished with 6 points.
