Services for Cecelia L. Abel, of Brookhaven, will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Union Church Cemetery in Union Church.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Abel, 97, died Dec. 6, 2007, at Brook Manor Nursing Center.She was born on March 31, 1910, to Nicholas Loftus and EdnaBrigger.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Community MethodistChurch in Fayette.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, theRev. Ferrell Abel.

Survivors are her sons, Ferrell Nick Abel, of Fayette, andRobert L. Abel, of Pascagoula; her daughter, Brynda Moore andhusband David, of McCall Creek; her 11 grandchildren and 18great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.
