Services for Lillian Agatha Sandidge, of Brookhaven, will beheld at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Riverwood Family FuneralService Chapel with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. GregWarnock will officiate.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Sandidge went to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2007. She wasborn on March 12, 1917, in Lincoln County to Benjamin LamarSandidge Sr. and Lillian Mae Little Sandidge.

She was a graduate of Heuck’s Retreat School and Copiah-LincolnJunior College. After Co-Lin, she completed a correspondence coursefrom the University of Southern Mississippi and began to teachfourth and fifth grades in Lincoln County schools. In 1943 she wasemployed with Western Union in Brookhaven, and was latertransferred to Jackson, where she worked for the company forapproximately 40 years. While in Jackson she was a member of FirstBaptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in thechoir. After her retirement she moved back to Brookhaven and becamea member of First Baptist Church, working as a volunteer in thechurch library. She also worked for Lincoln County BaptistAssociation as secretary. She was also a volunteer at King’sDaughters Medical Center. An avid gardener, she loved flowers andhad a beautiful yard, where she always had something blooming inseason.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister KathleenSandidge Nations; her brothers, Benjamin Lamar Sandidge Jr., andJohn Jefferson Sandidge.

Survivors are her brother, Edwin Sandidge and wife Anita, of Mt.Pleasant, Texas; her sister, Rebecca Sandidge Grim and husbandNathan, of Brookhaven; special nieces and nephews, Floy NationsMathis, Deborah Sandidge Carr, Dr. Ernie Sandidge, Claude Sandidge,Charles Sandidge, Ronnie Sandidge, Johnny Sandidge, Mike Grim andRandy Grim.

Pallbearers are Mark Mathis, Samuel Mathis, Brad Mathis, AndyGrim, Mike Grim and Randy Grim.

Memorials may be made to the Library Fund at First BaptistChurch Brookhaven.
