Memorial services for Ronald Joseph Chauvin, of Bogue Chitto,are 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel.

Visitation is Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Chauvin, 55, died Dec. 8, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Louisiana on April 9, 1952, to Curtis JosephChauvin and Doris Laune.

He was a lineman.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his stepfather,Larry Dauzart.

Survivors are his wife, Ann Chauvin, of Brookhaven; his mother,Doris Dauzart, of Watson, La.; his son, Kevin Wayne Chauvin, ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Carinna Chauvin Stewart, of Brookhaven,and DeLinah Chauvin Helton, of Denham Springs, La.; his brother,Ernest Ray Chauvin, of Springfield, La.; his sisters, CharleneLewis, of Watson, La., and Sherry Brown, of Deerborne, Mich.; andhis granddaughters, Payton Chauvin Helton, McKinzey Reese Stewart,Kadynce Ann Stewart, Kamryn Parish Stewart, Ashlyn Randi Helton,and Jaylee Marie Helton.

Rachel C. Hicks

Services for Rachel C. Hicks, of Foxworth and a native ofLincoln County, are 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at May’s Creek Church ofGod with burial in Bedwell Cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home inColumbia is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hicks, 48, died Dec. 6, 2007, at Marion GeneralHospital.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of May’s Creek Church ofGod.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Scott and Doris GrimesBourn; and her sister, Mary Bourn.

Survivors are her husband, Craig Hicks, of Foxworth; hermother-in-law, Faye Hicks, of Foxworth; her daughters, Tiffany andCottia Hicks, both of Columbia; her sons, Shaun Bourn and wifeNina, and C. J. Hicks, all of Foxworth, and Bradley Bourn and wifeNickie, of Columbia; her brothers, James Harrison Bourn and wifeDebbie, and Ronnie Scott Bourn and wife Crystal, all of Brookhaven;seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, family, andfriends.

Ralph E. Smith

Services for Ralph E. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Sunday,Dec. 9, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial inRose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, 79, died Dec. 6, 2007, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1928, to Clarence E.Smith and Marie Brodie Smith.

He was employed with Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store. He was amember of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven. He served in the U.S.Army during World War II.

Mr. Smith was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners andEastern Star.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Ruth Ayleen Kyzar Smith, of Brookhaven;his daughter, Cindy Smith Wooley, of Hartselle, Ala.; his brother,Donald N. Smith, of Columbia; and his grandchildren, Jake Wooley,Ben Wooley, Aaron Wooley, and Mary Jane Wooley.

Pallbearers are Wade Wooley, Jake Wooley, Ben Wooley, AaronWooley, Wendell Kyzar, and Bryan Kyzar.
