Mike M. Mitchell
Services for Mike M. Mitchell, of Jayess, are 11 a.m. Monday,Dec. 24, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in ProvidenceBaptist Church Cemetery in Jayess.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Mitchell, 68, died Dec. 21, 2007, at McComb Rehabilitationand Nursing Home. He was born in Lawrence County on October 9,1939, to Roy Mitchell and Lexie Hemphill Mitchell.
He was a farmer and retired barber, and had worked as a barberin Brookhaven for 16 years. He was a member of Providence BaptistChurch.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.
Survivors are his wife, Dimple Reid Mitchell; his son, DelaneBrister and wife Margie, of Jayess; his daughters, Patsy Bullockand husband Robert, of Jayess, Paulette Langbeker and husband Doug,of Mendenhall, and Diane Hamilton and husband Doug, of Madison; hissister, Fahrandal Forsyth, of Warren, R.I.; 11 grandchildren; and17 great-grandchildren.
Willene Stewart
Services for Willene Stewart, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Monday,Dec. 24, at St. Mark M.B. Church with burial in Siloam M.B. ChurchCemetery. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.
Mrs. Stewart, 72, died Dec. 19, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn on May 30, 1935, to Felix and Beulah Dunn Richardson.
She was a retired nurse at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Shereceived her nursing degree from Copiah-Lincoln Community College.She was a member of St. Mark M.B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Melvin Stewart; herbrothers, Curtis Richardson and Felix Richardson; and her sister,Lona Richardson.
Survivors are her son, Tyree Gearing Jr., of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Earnestine Reese, of Brookhaven; her brothers, EarnestRichardson, of Georgia, and Willie Tyler and Emitt Richardson, bothof Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; her sisters, Betha Brown, of Brookhaven,Reba Griffin, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Ozie Demyers, ofLansing, Mich; and a host of grandchildren.
