Services for Lucille Leonard Martin, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at Moak’s Creek Baptist Church inBogue Chitto with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven FuneralHome on North Jackson Street is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Martin, 88, died Dec. 26, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born in Lawrence County on May 22, 1919, to WarrenLeonard and Nanny Etheridge Leonard.

She was the previous owner of Brookhaven Christian Book Store,and a homemaker. She was a member of Moak’s Creek BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edgar V.Martin; and four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are her sons, Harry Joe Martin and wife Sandra, ofBogue Chitto, and Edgar Jerry Martin and wife Becky, of OceanSprings; her sister, Georgia Lee Williams, of McComb; hergrandchildren, Brad Martin and wife Amber, of Bogue Chitto, JodyMartin, of Birmingham, Ala., Becky Buie and husband Lee, ofCaseyville, and Jerry “Tuffy” Martin and wife Gina, of Sontag; hereight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
