Bonnie Anderson

Services for Bonnie Anderson, of Wesson, will be held at 10a.m., on Jan. 3, 2008, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial inHazlehurst Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Anderson, 86, died Dec. 29, 2007, at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County. She wasa member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and was active in many civicorganizations. She was involved in many Co-Lin projects during heractive years.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 42 years, R.E. “Bob”Anderson, who served in the Mississippi Legislature for 31 years;and by a great-granddaughter, Amber Elizabeth King.

Survivors are her sons, Ralph Edward Anderson, of Gulfport, andJimmy Drane Anderson, of Wesson; her daughter, Beverly AndersonKing, of Wesson; her sisters, Ethel Mae Harrison and Allene Drane,both of Clinton; her grandchildren, Timothy Edward Anderson, MaryKatherine Anderson, Kevin Thomas Anderson, Jimmy Anderson Jr., AmyAnderson Runnels, Brian Randall King and Stephen H. King; her sixgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many belovedclose friends, including special friend, Wyn Jones, and othercaregivers.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church BuildingFund.

DiAnne Britt Miller

DiAnne Britt Miller, 54, of Wesson, died Dec. 28, 2007, at HardyWilson Hospital in Hazlehurst. A memorial service will be held at11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, at Sylvarena Baptist Church inWesson.

DiAnne worked at the Hazlehurst Clinic as a nurse for 23 years.She loved her church family and spending time with hergrandchildren. She truly had a passion for animals.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Jay Horn.

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, RichardMiller, of Wesson; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Britt, ofWesson; her sons, Chris Brister and Pat Brister, both of Wesson;her stepchildren, Gina Pettis, of Vicksburg, Tommy Joe Miller, ofBrookhaven, and Lisa Burns, of Wesson; her brother, Clifford Britt,of Wesson; her 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; andher nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sylvarena BaptistChurch Building Fund.

Marguerite Foster Warren

Services for Marguerite Foster Warren, of Brookhaven, will beheld at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel with burial in Mt. Zion Baptist ChurchCemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Warren, 90, died Dec. 29, 2007, at Brook Manor NursingCenter. She was born on Sept. 29, 1917, to Qunnie Foster and ViolaSmith Foster.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CecilWarren; her grandsons, Stacey Crosby and Landon Wiley; and hersister-in-law, Jewel Foster.

Survivors are her daughter, Celia Fay Smith and husband Kelcy,of Franklin County, Betty Lane Kyzar and husband Lamar, ofCleburne, Texas, and Shirley Jean Newman and husband Tommy, ofWesson; her brothers, Smith Foster, of Wesson, Leonard Foster andwife Deleathea, of Brookhaven, and Houston Foster and wife Annie,of Wesson; her seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, andfour great-great-grandchildren.

Bobby Eugene Whatley

Services for Bobby Eugene Whatley, of McComb, will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Jones Family Funeral Services inMcComb with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit. Dr. DavidMillican will officiate.

Visitation is Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Whatley, 59, died Dec. 28, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn in Mobile, Ala., on Dec. 24, 1948, to Aubrey Luther Whatleyand Jewel Waller Whatley.

He served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1967to 1969. After returning home, he worked in the oilfield for over20 years as a rig mechanic and he was also a long-haul truck driverfor many years.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sons, Aubrey Shannon Whatley and wife Dana, ofSummit, and Joseph Michael Whatley and wife Renee, of McComb; hisbrothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Martha Whatley, of McComb,and Ray and Glenda Whatley, of Summit; his grandchildren, Grant,Caitlyn, Taylor and Reese Whatley; his step-grandchildren, ChloeTarver and Aaron King; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
