Deborah Brewer Mizell

Services for Deborah Brewer Mizell, of Natchez, will be held at11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Parkway Baptist Church with burial inGreenlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Bart Walker will officiate. LairdFuneral Home in Natchez is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church, and onSaturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Mizell, 49, died Jan. 1, 2008. She was born Sept. 26, 1958,in Natchez, to Jerry Shelton Brewer and Bobby Sue Lyons Brewer.

She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Her father preceded her in death.

Survivors are her mother, Bobby Sue Brewer, of Jackson; herhusband, Glenn Mizell, of Natchez; her daughter Amanda Hodges andhusband Ben, of Brookhaven; her grandsons, Josh and Grayson Hodges,both of Brookhaven; her sisters, Susan Hicks, of Hammond, La.,Carolyn Brewer, of Jackson, Trish Case and husband Dusty, of DenhamSprings, La.; her sister-in-law, Linda Garrett and husband Irvin,of Natchez; her nieces, Kellie, Brittany and Lindsey Case, ofDenham Springs; and her nephews, Randall and Michael Garrett, ofLexington, S.C.

Pallbearers are Wayne Richardson, Tony Ballard, Forrest Foster,Jason Cole, Bill Salters and Kenny Jackson.

The family requests that memorials be made to Parkway BaptistChurch Building Fund.

Tiny Upton

Services for Tiny Upton, of Roxie, will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 6, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Hamburgcommunity in Franklin County with burial in the church cemetery.Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mrs. Upton, 94, died Dec. 29, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Franklin County on Oct. 8, 1913, to Ed Gatein and MaggieLewis.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JuliusUpton; her son, Lawrence Upton; and her five sisters and fourbrothers.

Survivors are her daughter, Ruby Upton; her sisters, RubyCarter, Adell Ditimus and Marie Dunlap; her brother, NathanielHarris; her five grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; anda host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
