Services for Alvis “Bingy” Dean Givens, of Starks, La., wereheld at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, at First Baptist Church ofStarks with burial in Doyle Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Davis andBrother Darrell Orange officiated.

Mr. Givens, 52, died Dec. 27, 2007.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the First BaptistChurch of Starks.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Jesse Doiron.

Survivors are his mother, Clara Doiron of Starks; his father,Carlie Givens and wife Doris, of Mobile, Ala.; his wife, CarolynGivens of Starks; his sons, Chad Michael Givens and wife Ashley, ofDenham Springs, and Jake Alan Givens, of Dry Creek; his sisters,Joana Burch and husband Lewis, of Ovette, Rhonda Jones and husbandJames, Margie Coleman and husband Kim, and Kimberly Statum, all ofStarks; his brothers, Ralph Givens and wife Deborah, of Birmingham,Ala., Donnie Givens and wife Kim, of Citronelle, Ala., and GaryGivens and wife Darinda, of Mobile, Ala.; and numerous nieces andnephews.
