Neil Smith McCoy

Services for Neil Smith McCoy, of Madison, will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Christ United Methodist Church onOld Canton Road in Jackson with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemeteryon Highland Colony Parkway. Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home inRidgeland is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church, and onWednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. McCoy, 61, died Feb. 10, 2008, at his residence, surroundedby family and friends. He was born in Brookhaven on June 25, 1946,to Neal Frank and Ina Smith McCoy.

He was the owner of Colonial Mart Shell Service Station. He wasa graduate of Brookhaven High School, where he lettered in footballand track. He attended Belhaven College and graduated fromMississippi College. He served in the military and lived for manyyears in Jackson before moving to Madison County. He establishedand maintained many long-term friendships which, along with hischildren, were an integral and valued part of his life.

Survivors are his mother, Ina McCoy; son, Neil McCoy Wolf andwife Kim, of Brandon; his daughter Betsy Ross and husband Kevin, ofMadison; and his grandchildren, Bella Newman and Ellie and PatrickRoss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be madeto The McCoy House for Sober Living (Merchants and FarmersBank).
