Services for Margie Hux Cantrell, of Brookhaven, will be held at1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNorth Jackson Street with burial in Wellman Baptist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Cantrell, 76, died Feb. 12, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on May 11, 1931, to Berkley C. Hux and RenaWilkinson Hux.

She was a retired seamstress with Kellwood in Monticello. Shewas a member of Big Springs Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CecilCantrell; her brothers, B.C. Hux Jr. and Richard Hux; and hersisters, Verdew Hux and Lettie Bales.

Survivors are her son, Kenny Cantrell and wife Kayla, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Joyce Thomas and husband Charles, ofMcComb, Shan McCullough and husband, G.W., of Brookhaven, SandyCook and husband Rickey, of Brookhaven, and Carolyn Laird andhusband Dwaine, of Bogue Chitto; her brothers, Jerry Hux and DavidHux, of Brookhaven, Jessie H. Hux, of Bogue Chitto, and Oliver Hux,of Ruth; her sisters, Maryline Holley, of Greenville, and LindaLambert, of Monticello; her grandchildren, Mickey Thomas, CharlieSmith, Derrick Thomas, Felicia Hemphill, G.J. McCullough, ByronMcCullough, Gage Cook, Jennifer Ezell, Breann Rutledge, LeilaJackson, Lori Cantrell and Logan Cantrell; her stepgrandchild,Dudley Waldrop; and 15 great-grandchildren.
