Van Harris

Services for Van Harris, of Meadville, are 11 a.m., Saturday,Feb. 16, at the Franklin County High School auditorium, inMeadville, with burial in Bunkley Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation will be Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.

Mr. Harris, 60, died Feb. 7, 2008, at Franklin County MedicalCenter. He was born on Aug. 21, 1947, to Lula Harris White.

He was a school bus driver for Franklin County Schools. He was amember of Mt. Sinai M.B. Church in Meadville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Wilhelmenia Williams Harris, ofMeadville; his daughter, Muriel Hughes, of Meadville; his brothers,Luther Harris, Lonnie Ray Sanders, David Sanders, Pearlie White Jr.and L.J. White; his sisters, Dorothy Williams, Katie Morgan,Pearlie Mae Green, Beatrice Stampley and Rose Marie Sanders; twograndchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

James Jackson

Services for James Jackson, of McComb, are 11 a.m. Saturday,Feb. 16, at New Vision Fellowship Church with burial in St. JohnCemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 8 p.m. with family hour from 7until 8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Jackson, 75, died Feb. 7, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 6, 1932 in LincolnCounty. His parents were John Jackson and Bessie Jackson.

He was retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Eula MaeRobinson; and his brothers, Roosevelt Jackson, Robert Lee Jackson,Frank Charles Jackson and John Jackson Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Jackson, of Chicago, Ill.;five sons, James Jackson Jr., Anthony Jackson, David Jackson,Micheal Jackson and Richard Jackson, all of Chicago; his daughters,Victoria Jackson, Romona Jackson, Carolyn Jackson, Valarie Jackson,Resina Jackson, Rochel Jackson and Yvette Jackson, all of Chicago;37 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie MaeTurner and husband, Otha Bee, of McComb, and Johnie Mae James andhusband, Robert, of Wesson; her brothers, Walter Smith and wife,Teresa, of Wesson, Sylvester Jackson and wife, Tracey, ofHazlehurst; and a host of stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty Richardson Sudduth

Services for Betty Richardson Sudduth, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Feb. 16, at Center Street Church of Christ with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Sudduth, 58, died Feb. 12, 2008, at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Wesson on July 2, 1949.Her parents were Grant Brent and Earline Richardson.

She was disabled. She was a member of Center Street Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Dillon, of Brookhaven;her sisters, Billy Kees and Helen Byrd, both of Brookhaven, andDorothy Johnson, of Port Gibson; her brother, Carnell Sanders, ofMcComb; her grandchildren, Shequito Dillon, of Jackson, and LorenzoDillon, of Brookhaven; and one great-grandchild, Tarvauirs Lyons,of Jackson.
