W.J. Crane

Services for W.J. Crane, of Brookhaven, will be held at 2 p.m.on Sunday, Feb. 24, at Friendship Baptist Church in Brookhaven withburial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Cody Warren, ChadYarborough, Wiley Reid and Jimmy Houston will officiate. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Crane, 85, died Feb. 22, 2008, at his residence. He was bornon Aug. 23, 1922, to W.C. Crane and Dolly Smith Crane.

He was retired, having been self-employed in the oil industry.He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member ofFriendship Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother-in-law,Leland “Tootie” Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Ruby Ezell Crane; his stepson, GillisEzell and wife Debbie, of Summit; his stepdaughter, Judy Warren andhusband Donald, of Brookhaven; his sister, Helen Smith, ofBrookhaven; his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Forman, Ryan Ezell,Tate Warren, Todd Warren, Cody Warren; his great-stepgrandchildren,Ty Forman and Karly Forman; his niece, Abby Dunaway and husbandBailey, of Brookhaven; his two great-nephews and onegreat-niece.
