Linda Newton Collins
Services for Linda Newton Collins, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, March 4, at Macedonia M.B. Church with burial in CarverHeights Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Monday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Collins, 61, died Feb. 28, 2008, at her home in Brookhaven.She was born on May 10, 1946, to Robert Jones and Areace Jones.
She was retired. She was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church and a1965 graduate of Eva Harris High School.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Areace Jones; hersisters, Roberta Lee, Bridget Williams, and Barbara Peyton; andthree grandchildren, 4’Ray Collins, Kia Taylor, and ToyyCollins.
Survivors are her father, Robert Jones, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Anita Newton and Catina Collins Bryant, of Brookhaven;her sons, Michael Collins, Darron Newton, and Martin Collins, allof Bogue Chitto, and Glenn Collins, of Brookhaven; her sisters,Dorothy Hunter, of Loyd Star, Vanetta Vaughn, of Delta City, andPamela Fields, Lillian Bridges, and Wydell Dixon, all ofBrookhaven; her brothers, Robert Newton, Samuel Jones, and JamesJones, all of Brookhaven; a special devoted friend, HarvestScarborough; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and otherrelatives.
Walter Hall Jr.
Services for Walter Hall Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., are 11 a.m.Monday, March 3, at Bethesda Cathedral in Atlanta, and 1 p.m.Tuesday, March 4, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Cuba, Ala.,with burial in Gibbs Cemetery in Cuba.
Mr. Hall, 40, died Feb. 27, 2008, in Atlanta. He was born inBrookhaven on May 19, 1967, to Walter Hall Sr. and Bessie MaeHall.
He was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and of DevryInstitute of Technology.
Survivors are his parents, of Hattiesburg; his brother, RobertHall, of Albertville, Ala.; and his sisters, Emma Nesbitt, ofFayetteville, N.C., and Brenda Baker, of Austin, Texas.
Sara Elizabeth Ward Hodges
Services for Sara Elizabeth Ward Hodges, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Monday, March 3, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel, NatchezDrive location, with burial in Hodges Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m.until 2 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hodges, 69, died March 1, 2008, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on May 15, 1938, to CharlesWard and Mary E. Bullock Ward.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Heucks Retreat BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CaseyHodges; her son, Casey Hodges Jr.; and her brothers, Charles AlbertWard and Willie Thomas Ward.
Survivors are her sons, James Hodges, of Tylertown, CharlieHodges and wife Stacey, of Jayess, and Billy Joe Hodges, of ElPaso, Texas; her sister, Annie Mae Winborne and husband Thomas, ofBrookhaven; and
her grandchildren, Wendy Hodges Dover and Chase AndrewHodges.

Services for Mildred Jones Martin, of McCall Creek, are 2 p.m.Sunday, March 2, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel, Natchez Drivelocation, with burial in Bethel United Methodist ChurchCemetery.
Mrs. Martin, 86, died Feb. 28, 2008, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Franklin County on Sept. 20,1921, to William Jones and Melinda Touchstone Jones.
She was a housewife. She was of the Methodist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Lloyd B.Martin; her brother, Charles R. Jones; her sisters, Geneva JonesColey and Dorothy Nell Godwin; her son-in-law, Mitchell Case; hergrandson, Ernie Smith; and one great-great-grandchild.
Survivors are her son, Robert Martin and wife Judy, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Mary Frances Smith and husband Carrol,of McCall Creek, Juanita Kimble and husband Versie Jr., ofMeadville, and Patsy Case, of Caseyville; her brother, WilliamEdward Jones, of Baton Rouge, La.; her sisters, Edna Mae Evans, ofBrookhaven, and Joy Dell Martinez and Elaine Martinez, of BatonRouge; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 9great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
