Imogene Runnels Anderson

Services for Imogene Runnels Anderson, of Fayette, were noonTuesday, March 4, at Hickory Block U.M. Church in Union Church.Marshall Funeral Home in Bude was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Anderson, 61, died Feb. 27, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn on Jan. 4, 1947, in Fayette to George (G.W.) Runnels and thelate Louvellar (L.B.) Runnels.

Preceding her in death were her mother; one sister, Irene Short;two brothers, Carl and Larry Runnels; and one granddaughter, RayyaAnderson.

Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Anderson, of Marrero,La., and La Leasha Anderson, of Gretna, La.; three sons, GregoryAnderson, of Natchez, Andrew Anderson and Kirby Anderson, both ofMarrero, La.; her father, George (G.W.) Runnels, of Fayette; twosisters, Delorise Runnels-Griffin and Dorothy Chambliss; onebrother, James Runnels; five aunts; four uncles; fivegrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy K. Smith

Services for Dorothy K. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, March 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 74, died March 1, 2008, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on March 9, 1933. Her parents were Henry C.Harris and Rena B. Williams.

She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, VernonSmith; her son, Gary Lynn Smith; her brothers, Thurman Harris andOliver Harris; and two sisters, Minnie Russell and FrancisWilliams.

Survivors include her sons, George C. Smith, Don Smith andGerald “Bo” Smith; her daughters, Rena K. Rippy, Rita E. Brock andRhonda Crawford; her brothers, George Harris and Alford Harris; hersister, Elizabeth Gates; 18 grandchildren; and 19great-grandchildren.

Jean Deloris Smith

Graveside funeral services for Jean Deloris Smith, 83, who diedSunday, March 2, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center will be3:30 p.m., Wednesday at Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird FuneralHome.

Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at LairdFuneral Home Union Street Chapel.

Miss Smith was born April 11, 1924, in Brookhaven. She was thedaughter of William Ed Smith Sr. who served as sheriff and chief ofpolice of Brookhaven and Lincoln County, and Florence ThamesSmith.

She was retired after having worked her entire career for SmithInsurance Agency owned by Andrew and Monelle Smith, her sister andbrother-in-law.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mildred Smith,Hazel Krogfoss and Monelle Smith; and brothers, Terrell Smith andW. Ed Smith Jr.

Survivors are Jock G. Smith and wife Laura of Lorman, WilliamSmith also of Lorman, Ann Coggeshall, Brent Coggeshall both ofDenver, Colo., Jean Enrico and husband Robert, and Kim Krogfoss allof Long Beach, Calif.

Kenneth Ward

Services for Kenneth Ward, of Silver Creek, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, March 5, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticellowith burial in Arm Baptist Church Cemetery in Silver Creek.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Ward, 68, died March 3, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on Oct. 17, 1939, inLawrence County to John (App) Ward and Vinie Geniva (Niva)Ward.

He was a retired trucker. He was a member of Arm Baptist Churchin Silver Creek. He was the former owner of Ward Auto Clinic andKenneth Ward Trucking of Monticello.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers,Hilton Ward and Hurston Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Acy Ward; his sons, Wayne(Ken) Ward, of Sumrall, and Dewayne Ward, of Crossville, Tenn.; hisdaughter, Tammy Ward, of Foxworth; his brothers, Harlon Ward andKyle Ward, both of Silver Creek; his sisters, Jewel Nelson, ofJayess, and Carlene Brooks, of Monticello; 11 grandchildren; and 12great-grandchildren.

Danny Leroy ‘Roy’ Williams

Services for Danny Leroy “Roy” Williams, of Wesson, are 2:30p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapelwith burial in Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Williams, 51, died March 3, 2008, in Brookhaven. He was bornon June 28, 1956, to Charlie Williams and Mary Aline HesterWilliams.

He was disabled and a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers,Jeffrey Floyd Williams and Billy Wayne Williams.

Survivors include his sisters, Margaret Lynn Martin and husband,Jimmy, of Wesson, Catherine Taylor and husband, James Ray, ofGallman, and Betty Smith and husband, Jimmy, of Wesson; his niecesand nephews, Terry Smith and wife, Suzanne, of Ruth, Vickie Newmanand husband, Henry, of Brookhaven, Kristy Gates and husband, BobbyII, of Bogue Chitto, Cameron Wayne Williams, Caitlyn MarieWilliams, both of Wesson, and a host of great-nieces and nephewsand aunts.
