Services for Billy Don “Bird-Dog” Reid, of Monticello, will beheld at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 10, at Tilton United MethodistChurch with burial in Tilton Cemetery in Lawrence County. WilsonFuneral Home in Monticello is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Reid, 57, died March 8, 2008, at his residence. He was bornin Mississippi on July 8, 1951, to G.W. Reid and Francise CarneyReid.
He worked in the oil field. He was a veteran of the UnitedStates Army Special Forces and served during the Vietnam era. Hewas a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers, SamualAnthony Reid and Charles Walter Reid.
Survivors are his son, Billy Clyde Reid, of Monticello; hisdaughters, Miranda Faye Reid, Molly Virginia Reid and Makata JoeReid, all of Monticello; his brother, Gerald Wayne Reid, ofMonticello; and his grandsons, Cooper Haze Reid and Cash ClydeReid, both of Monticello.
