Services for Mrs. H.O. “Dolia” Haywood, of Macon, will be 11a.m., Thursday, March 20, at Concord Baptist Church, in Macon, withburial in Salem Cemetery in Macon. Cockrell Funeral Home Inc., ofMacon, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Haywood, 85, died March 18, 2008, at Baptist MemorialGolden Triangle in Columbus. She was born on Nov. 27, 1922, toTheodore and Betty Mae Moore Ezell.

A native of Stonewall, Mrs. Haywood was a graduate of EnterpriseSchool. She married H.O. Haywood and shortly after they married hebecame a minister and she served along side of him in the ministryuntil his retirement. She worked for the Veterans Affairs and theRed Cross Services for many years. She was an active member ofConcord Baptist Church having been very involved with all churchactivities including the WMU and Sunday school teacher. She servedWest End Baptist Church in West Point and Plymouth Baptist Churchin Columbus as well. She gave her life to being in the church choirand performing solos. She was an avid supporter of the BaptistChildren’s Village.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband.

Survivors include her daughter, Joy H. Johnson, of Wesson; andher son, Harvey Haywood, of Macon; and six grandchildren.
