Services for Wilma Pepper Porter, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.,formerly of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at BrookhavenFuneral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive with burial in Ramah BaptistChurch Cemetery in McCall Creek.
Visitation is Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Porter, 86, died March 20, 2008, at Fort Walton BeachMemorial Hospital. She was born in Lincoln County on July 1, 1921,to Van Horton Pepper and Josia Pepper Pepper.
She was a retired dietary supervisor at Haven Hall N. H. and A.and a homemaker. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church, theEastern Star, and a former member of the Pilot Club.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Benton Porter; herparents; her daughter, Patricia Diane Porter; her grandson, TonyPorter; her brothers, T. L. Pepper, Jerry Pepper and James HortonPepper.
Survivors are her sons, Carroll Ray Porter and wife Peggy, ofFlynn, Texas, and Ben Porter and wife Patricia, of Destin, Fla.;her daughter, Linda (Lynn) Porter Slade and husband Louie, of FortWalton Beach, Fla.; her brother, Marlon Pepper and wife Bonnie, ofBrookhaven; her sister, Gladys Richardson, of West Lincoln, DorothyBrooks, of Brookhaven, Ruth Newman and husband Paul, of Pearl, andJosie Wright, of Plain Dealing, La.; six grandchildren; and 12great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
